Who am I?
Brazilian field and museum ornithologist and evolutionary biologist in love with Amazonian birds! Biologist and Master of Science from the University of São Paulo, PhD in Systematics, Ecology and Evolution from Louisiana State University. Currently I am an Edward Rose Postdoctoral Fellow at the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology.
In 2024, I will be joining the University of Florida where I will be an assistant professor (tt) and Curator of Birds of the Florida Museum of Natural History!
Research interests and goals
My interests and expertise go from speciation, genomic architecture, population genetics, mitonuclear evolution and systematics to spatial ecology and conservation. As long as I work with birds, I am happy!
